In Mesopotamia it was very, very hot. It was so hot that they slept on their roofs to escape the heat but they also cooked on their roofs. Poor people had smaller houses rich people had larger houses but every house was at least three stories high no matter how rich or poor they were .Mesopotamia The two rivers were really the only places that had good enough soil to grow things. The two rivers were very important to the Mesopotamia. The reason why the two rivers were so important to them was because it was the only place to grow crops because the ground was wet. The weather also effected them because it was hard to carry things in the hot weather.
Some of the great cities were Assyria, Babylon, Sumer. And some sacred temples were ziggurats,
